The goal of the Mandel School for Educational Leadership is to develop and foster influential educational leaders with vision to spearhead and lead processes of advancement in Israeli education and society.
The Mandel School for Educational Leadership is attended by men and women from diverse streams of Israeli society – religiously, nationally, ethnically and geographically. Fellows are some of the most outstanding people in the field of education in Israel. In addition to significant academic backgrounds, they come to the program with practical experience in educational entrepreneurship and managerial experience.
Registration for the 2012-13 academic year has ended. Cohort 21 will commence their studies in September 2012 for approximately two years. During the two years the fellows receive monthly stipends to cover living expenses which allow them to dedicate their time and energy to the program’s studies and to develop a personal project. The study program requires full-time commitment (5 days per week). Those that are accepted are expected to work for at least five years in the field of education upon completion of their studies.
Those that meet the following requirements are invited to apply*:

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Proven managerial experience and implementation capabilities.
• Potential to obtain influential positions in the field of education and society in Israel.
• Intellectual openness, systematic perspective and the ability to think critically.
• Commitment to the field of education and society and to educational and social activity. Determination to influence the fields of education and society.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Hebrew to write and read academic texts.
• A sufficient command of English to read academic essays and understand lectures. |
*A couple may not both be enrolled in the program at the same time.
First degree relatives (children, siblings, grandchildren, sons/daughters-in-law, parents and partners) of faculty members of the Mandel Leadership Institute and the Mandel Foundation-Israel are ineligible to apply to the Mandel School for Educational Leadership.
